London Vacation Apartments Terms and Conditions
It is an implied term that by using London Vacation Apartments website, you agree to accept our terms and conditions stated below.
Booking and Confirmation
Submission of a booking form by the customer does not mean that the booking is confirmed. London Vacation Apartments will respond to you to confirm availability by e-mail or fax within a 1day period. The confirmation will be sent with a credit card authorisation form. Return of the credit card authorisation form will constitute the customer’s confirmation of booking.
In the event that the apartment of your choice is fully booked then London Vacation Apartments will endeavour to offer you an alternative apartment of similar price, quality and location. We will never proceed with an alternative reservation without your prior approval.
All rates are inclusive of VAT @ 17.5% (where appropriate) and cover published services (except those that are stated as payable locally). The rates do not include the 3.5% credit card booking fee. Taxi charges are payable locally to the driver and are not debited from the credit card.
We will usually e-mail you to confirm availability and submit the credit card form within 1 day of your on-line booking if received by London Vacation Apartments during the following hours:
Monday to Friday 8am – 7pm (GMT)
If we receive your booking outside of these hours then we will respond to you at the earliest possible time during the next office day.
Credit Card Payments
All credit card payments incur a 3.5% service charge.
Clients that make a booking through the London Vacation Apartments web site will be sent a credit card authorisation form by e-mail or fax within 1 working day. All clients must sign this credit card authorisation and return it to us to enable us to make the relevant charges in accordance with the notice periods outlined in the ‘Deposits and Full Amount Charges’ and ‘Security Deposits’ sections within these terms & conditions. Failure to meet the deadlines for deposits and full amount debits run the risk of losing their booking.
Deposits and Full Amount Charges
The £200 deposit will be charged to your account immediately on booking through the London Vacation Apartments web site. The balance will be charged 6 weeks before arrival.
Security Deposits
A security deposit of £200 will be taken in sterling on the day of your arrival, and held on your account until 4 weeks after your departure, to allow time for the telephone account of the booked apartment to be received from the relevant service provider. The deposit will be refunded in sterling less any applicable charges. London Vacation Apartments reserves the right to charge the credit card for further sums should serious loss or damage occur, or the telephone call charges exceed the £200 amount.
Rates of Exchange
All rates are in sterling. All payments will be taken in sterling and any refunds of deposits etc will be given in sterling. We cannot be responsible for any currency fluctuations.
Cancellation
Our cancellation policy for the apartments is deposit lost if cancelled more than 6 weeks before arrival. If the cancellation is within 6 weeks of arrival, then the full amount is due to the owner and only refunded if a re-sale is achieved for the booked period. Clients are strongly recommended to ensure that they have suitable travel insurance arranged at the time of booking.
Loss or Damage
Any loss, damage or irreversible stains in the apartments must be paid for, whether accidental or deliberate, and therefore due care and attention is advised. Although end of tenancy cleaning is included in the price, unless otherwise stated, if the apartment is left in an unusually dirty or messy condition, a local charge for extra cleaning will be levied.
Maximum Occupancy
Occupancy of the apartment stated in page one cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. Additional guests cannot be accommodated, and failure to inform us could render the reservation as cancelled and no refund will be given unless we are able to achieve a re-sale for the booked period.
Taxi Transfers and Check-Ins
Customers arriving at weekends or outside the hours of 8am-3pm will be required to book a taxi transfer through London Vacation Apartments or pay an out of hours ‘meet and greet’ fee (both payable locally). Our taxi rates can be found on the booking form and include 40 minutes waiting time at the airport and parking charges, but do not include additional waiting time and car park charges. On major bank holidays such as Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, the taxi drivers may impose an additional charge and you should check this in advance. Any arrivals on these dates must accept our taxi service as our office is closed on those days.
Failure To Meet Taxi
If you book our taxi transfer service and subsequently fail to meet the driver at the airport, your credit card will be debited for the full cost of the taxi transfer together with any appropriate parking and waiting time up to a maximum of 2 hours.
Lost Keys
It is vital that clients DO NOT take keys away at the end of their stay or lose them during their stay. If keys are lost, the cost of a new locking system – to maintain security – and the cost of extra key cutting will be charged to the client’s credit card.
No Smoking Policy
Clients should be aware that if they do smoke in a non-smoking property then the owner of that property will exercise his/her right to charge for cleaning of curtains, carpets, upholstery and any other item by any method required to rid the property of odours, smoke pollution and damage caused by smoking. If you are a smoker, please check that you are not allocated to a ‘no smoking’ property.
Check In and Check Out Times
Check-ins cannot be guaranteed before 1pm. Check-outs are no later than 10am.
Arrival Time Notification
Customers must notify London Vacation Apartments of arrival details no less than 3 days before arrival. These details to include method of arrival into London, arrival point, estimated time of arrival at this point (and estimated time of arrival at the apartment if travelling independently).
Telephone Charges
Customers will incur telephone charges when using telephones provided. The charges vary from property to property but are usually 20p per unit plus £5 per week line rental on all properties whether or not outgoing calls are made.
Our Website
We endeavour to ensure that all information provided on this web site is correct and kept as up to date as possible. However, because London Vacation Apartments is an agent and not the owner of any of the publicised properties, we cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions that may arise.
London Vacation Apartments reserves the right to change any information published on this website without notice and cannot apply previous rates or described products and services upon any booking. The information on properties and rates on the day of a booking will apply only.
As apartment and tourist attraction satisfaction is a subjective matter, London Vacation Apartments makes no warranty or representation about the fitness and suitability of any product or service advertised on this website.
These terms do not affect consumer statutory rights.
